Co-Founder of Aquila Capital in charge of strategic alignment and operations. As CEO, Mr. Rosslenbroich’s work involves creating new markets and hunting for the most successful managers. Before founding Aquila Capital he was head of the Fixed Income Rates Group at Salomon Brothers.

As COO, Mr. Rodewald is responsible for business administration, structuring and risk management for the firm. Previously he was with DZ BANK International S.A. in Luxemburg, in charge of produkt setup and fund project coordination.

Managing Director of Aquila Capital Institutional and Head of the Aquila Capital branch in Munich. Christian looks back onto an impressive career in some of the leading financial institutions in Germany. Having completed his business degree Christian took up his first position in the securities department of Bayerische Vereinsbank and later on became Executive Assistant of the Chairman of the Board. In this role Christian was working closely on central issues of corporate development, such as the establishment of an independent inhouse asset management arm, which culminated in the merger of Bayrischer Hypotheken- and Wechselbank with Bayerischen Vereinsbank. In 2003, prior to joining Aquila, Christian changed to Hannover Leasing and served as Managing Director of the group’s sales arm ACCONTIS, where he was responsible for private wealth managers, IFAs and the larger banking entities.

Cristina Bülow has over 20 years of experience in the field of international capital market transactions. Asa a business graduate, she held positions at Citibank in Frankfurt and New York, Arthur Andersen, as well as in project finance at the European Investment Bank. Starting in 2001, Ms. Bülow was a partner at the closed-end funds division for Ernst & Young in Hamburg. Since 2009, she is a Managing Director at Aquila Capital and Managing Director of Ocean Partners Shipping.
Closed-End Investors
Managing Director of Aquila Capital Advisors, responsible for the closed-end investor segment. From 1998 to 2000 Mr. Stiehler, who holds a business degree, was responsible for international real estate acquisition for MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Real Estate. Between 2001 and 2005 he was head of wealth management at Hanseatische i-Bank AG.
Agriculture and Climate Change
Managing Director of KlimaINVEST and Aquila Capital Green Assets, responsible for portfolio management. Mr. Schön began his career with Cargill after completing a degree in agronomics. Having held a range of positions at the firm, including at its European headquarters, before long he was made Managing Director of the European Commodities Merchandizing Division. He also ran his own successful business for a time before returning to global agribusiness as Manager of International Grains for NIDERA in Rotterdam.
AC Pharos Strategies
With over 15 years of experience in the capital markets, Mr. Iske has been responsible for the Pharos Strategy since inception in 2001. Formerly he was with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson as quantitative analyst and Conservative Concept as portfolio manager. Academic background completed banking apprenticeship with Georg Hauck & Sohn, studied economics in Frankfurt/Main.

Harold Heuschmidt is the head manager of the Risk Parity fund series. With over 20 years of experience in the financial markets, Mr. Heuschmidt has been responsible for strategy development and implementation since inception of the Risk Parity Fund in 2004. He holds an MBA (cum laude) from INSEAD business school in Fontainebleau, France. Previously Mr. Heuschmidt was with American Express in London and Frankfurt, Morgan Stanley Equity Derivatives in New York and London and Credit Suisse First Boston Equity Derivatives in London.
Ocean Partners Shipping
Hans-Jürgen Kaiser-Blum holds a degree in business administration and has accumulated long-term experience in the sutructuring and placement of closed-end funds. He has been active in the industry since 1989 as a top manager at various investment firms, such as H.C.M. Hypo Capital Management in Munich and Nodcapital, where he was Managing Partner. Since 2008, Hans-Jürgen Kaiser-Blum has served as Managing Partner of Ocean Partners Shipping.

Bernardino Branca is pioneer in the European hedge fund business, and director of the Branca family office (Fernet Branca). Mr. Branca oversees Aquila’s umbrella hedge fund operations, with a successful track record in umbrella hedge fund management going back to the mid-90s.

Mr. Schulz joined Aquila Capital as a Managing Director, Sales in January 2010. Schulz began his career at Paribas Investment Management in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for institutional client advisory. During his time with Paribas in London and Paris he gained experience in stock analysis, derivatives and structured finance. Between 1999 and 2003, Mr. Schulz worked for Crédit Agricole Asset Management in Frankfurt, where he quickly became responsible for the German and Austrian markets. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Schulz was Managing Director at Benchmark Alternative Strategies GmbH Germany and Head of the Frankfurt office of Austrian firm Benchmark Financial Services GmbH. In 2007, Schulz joined Strategic Investments Group in London as Director and SIG (Deutschland) GmbH in Frankfurt. During that time, he was responsible for the German sales acivities for both firms. SIG is acting as a marketing contractor for New York based Permal Group

Dr. Herbert Walter, former Chairman of the Executive Board of Dresdner Bank, is the Chairman of the advisory board. Dr. Herbert Walter brings almost 30 years of experience in the financial sector to the advisory board. The graduate banker managed the private customer section of Deutsche Bank, chaired the Executive Board of Dresdner Bank and was a member of the Executive Board of Allianz AG from 2003 to 2009.

Prof. Dr. Meadows, system analyst, published the study “The Limits to Growth" in 1972, which had been commissioned by the Club of Rome. The study on the consequences of unlimited growth has been updated twice in the meantime, the last update being in 2006. Today, Prof. Dr. Meadows is seen as the father of the sustainability movement. In the future, Prof. Dr. Meadows will assist the Aquila Group in the early identification of macro issues and help translate these into sustainable capital investments.

In addition, Ms. Lombard is a co-founder and inaugural member of the Board of Directors of the Chartered Alternative Investment Association (CAIA). Florence Lombard has a wealth of experience in the international investment industry and benefits from a broad international network.

Dr. Axel Wieandt is a member of Aquila Capital’s advisory board since March 2011. Mr. Wieandt is one of Germany’s most successful bank managers. After completing his business degree and PhD at the WHU in Germany, Mr. Wieandt held positions at McKinsey and Morgan Stanley.
In 2000 he joined Deutsche Bank as one of the bank’s youngest executive managers, where he headed up the corporate development division and acted as Global Head of Corporate Investments from 2003.
Following a two-year period as a chairman of the Hypo Real Estate Holding AG, Mr. Wieandt returned to Deutsche Bank in 2010, where he currently is responsible for integration issues. Since 2005, Dr. Axel Wieandt is an honorary professor at the WHU.
